About

L. W. Douglas is an artist, animator, illustrator, and writer from Chelsea, OK.

As an animation enthusiast, he has seen a wide range of work in the medium, from the classics of Disney’s Golden Age to the rise of European animation in the 2000’s. The storytelling passion of the former and the visual style of the latter combine to form his own personal style, which is equal parts cute and bizarre and often narrative-based.

Specific stylistic influences and inspirations include the work of illustrators Kevin Henkes and Carson Ellis, and the films of Cartoon Saloon and Les Armateurs.

He graduated from Rogers State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts-Visual Arts in May 2023. He currently lives in Big Cabin, OK.

He enjoys reading, writing, drawing, and collecting vinyl records.
