After a great showing at the Fort Smith International
Film Festival, L.W. Douglas' sophomore short TIMID is
now available to watch on the website.
07-11-2024 – “TIMID” WORLD PREMIERE, Fort Smith International Film Festival, AR
L.W. Douglas' second animated short TIMID will have its world premiere at the Fort Smith International Film Festival, to be held from August 22nd - 24th.
The film's digital premiere on the website will be in the week after the festival.
L.W. Douglas plans on attending (if fate allows) and will attempt to explain everything in great, great detail.
05-12-2024 – “NIGHTLIFE” WINS BEST ANIMATED SHORT, Clean Shorts Film Festival, OK / TIMID Completion
On May 11th, Nightlife was awarded Best Animated Short at the Clean Shorts Film Festival in Norman, OK, somehow beating pizza deliveries to dogs, storm gods, a demon-in-training, and a short doc about the only beaver in Hollywood, among many other great shorts. Loved them all! You should too.
L. W. Douglas was in attendance, answered a few questions, and accepted the award in complete shock and joy.
After two years of production (and nearly every type of delay humanly possible), L. W. Douglas's sophomore animated short TIMID is completed and awaiting its festival premiere.
If a festival does not select the film, then it will have a digital premiere on the website.
If you see the film's star anytime before the premiere, please speak quietly so as not to startle him.
04-13-2024 – “NIGHTLIFE” at Clean Shorts Film Festival, Norman, OK
Nightlife has been selected to appear in the Clean Shorts Film Festival, to be held in Norman, Oklahoma on May 11th. Admission is free and open to the public. If you're in town that day, stop by and enjoy some short films.
L. W. Douglas may be in attendance.
Unfortunately the wolf cub and his mother are unable to attend, but they send their regards and hope everyone has a wonderful time.
03-01-2024 – “NIGHTLIFE” AT OVAC MOMENTUM, Yale Theater, OKC
The curious little wolf cub is coming to Oklahoma City, and this time, it's for an art exhibition.
Both L.W. Douglas and Nightlife will appear at OVAC's MOMENTUM (April 5th-6th at the Yale Theater, OKC) as part of its General Survey.
The exhibition showcases the works of Oklahoma visual artists aged 30 and younger. Painting, sculpting, filmmaking, live performance, everything and more. Come and see their amazing work.
02-06-2024 – “NIGHTLIFE” WINS “BEST ORIGINAL DESIGN,” FLanimation FILM FESTIVAL
Announced February 5th, Nightlife was awarded "Best Original Design" at the FLanimation Film Festival in Jacksonville, FL (event held 01-27-24).
Both L.W. Douglas and the wolf cub express their great surprise and even greater thanks for this amazing honor.
